Garden Information

Please visit our beautiful garden! The garden, tended by volunteers, is a peaceful haven with beautiful mature trees, winding secret paths, and a pond with viewing platform – as well as plenty of benches, and a summerhouse to take shelter in! Refreshments are available from a number of Cafes and Bakers located on Sawston High.

Please see the latest Newsletter and Blog for more information.

The Listening Post relates memories of Sawston’s history, recorded by older, long term residents.  It stands in the flower gardens close to the back door of the Challis House, next to a metal table and chairs.  Simple operating instructions, and a guide to current content  (frequently updated), are kept in the attached document holder.

Garden Map – We have installed a Garden Map near the entrance which displays the main features of the garden and includes visual contrasts, textures, raised large print and braille lettering, as well as tactile and visual symbols.
