Son of Mr T and Mrs R Jennings of Brooklyn, Sawston
Brother of Ronald (who died 11th August 1917). He was in camp with the Territorials when war broke out.
A Lieutenant of the Suffolks wrote: It may be a small consolation to you to know that death was instantaneous so your son felt no pain. We buried him that night in a soldier’s grave. Your son was in my platoon and I shall miss him very much.
He was greatly respected by all who knew him, and was very popular in the football field, being a member of the local team. He was also a member of St Mary’s Cricket Club.
